On Saturday March 15, 2008, Seaboard ACE Hardware (http://www.seaboardace.com/)in Downtown Raleigh is celebrating it's 1st Anniversary with live music by Buffalo Theory (http://www.buffalotheoryband.com/), door prizes, food and car shows featuring the Peidmont Classic Chevy Club, and due to my special pull with the proprieters :D, now featuring MINI's as well!!! There will be a token entry fee ($15) to cover trophies for special categories. Show will run from 11am-3 pm. From 8-10 am WPTF's "Weekend Gardener" will be on hand, along with live radio broadcast. With it being St. Patricks Day weekend, this will be a "Green Weekend", with specials on compact flourescents and rain barrels, and all merchants in the whole Seaboard Station Shopping Center (http://seaboardstationshops.com/)will be participating.

They will need to get an idea of numbers that may want to participate, so respond to me with your level of interest. More details will be forthcoming as time approaches. A splendid time is guaranteed for all....

WooHoo!

I plan to be there. And I plan to win. But please don't let that discourage the rest of you from coming. But nobody else needs to bother washing your car first. Or vacuuming. Just leave those cheetos on the carpet and seats. It won't make any difference, anyway.

:D

Paul, you might have a chance if they have the brightest white parking lights, that's for sure! I gotta get me a pair. Of those, I mean. The lights, I mean a pair of the lights. Aww, forget it.... ;-)

<Excuses on> I want to hear you guys play more than I want to vacuum out the Cheetos, they're well ground in anyway, so I'll be on the fan club list, but not the car entry list. I'm supposed to be SC for another meet, and I typically build Habitat houses on Saturdays.

Bottom line: If there's a caravan from Charlotte, I might go, so put me down as a definite maybe. ;-)

Maybe the biggest trophy will be for the whitest parking lights, you never know.... or maybe for the biggest pair......

Ah, you green MINIs will have an advantage here :)

This sounds great! I haven't heard from the Raleigh St Patrick's Day Parade organizers, so if this is the same time frame it should make for a nice substitute.

yeah, and even if they do have us in the parade, the shopping center is 2 blocks off the parade route, so we can simply all meet there after the parade. There are some cool restaurants there, and a wine/beer warehouse..... Eepers, keep me informed about this, and I'll help you with the organization, if you want.....

This sounds like fun! I won't be entering the contest, but will most likely stop by since it is close to where I live.

This is starting to sound interesting... It has sparked my desire to possible attend. Time to break out the Prima and the Q-Tips.
