It looks like we've got enough interest in the indoor go-kart track, so I made a reservation for the group.

With the unpredictable (at best) weather this time of year, I was thinking it'd be nice to hook up and race some wheels that may be slightly smaller than those giant boats we normally drive :)

There's a fantastic indoor go-karting place in Garner with swank little carts that are much more powerful than the usual mini-golf course karts. I've been there once before with some coworkers and it was an absolute blast. Site is:

I'd ballpark the expense at about $50 per person, and they have a bar and small grill in the place as well trackside that's pretty cool to hang out at.

yea lee, anything sunday i can do with a few weekend notice. only weekend im out of town is the 2-4th of feb, goin to pick up my new daily driver, i have 9500 miles on the mini since may

Sounds like fun. Quite a drive for me, however, you can always put me on the maybe list, as I have been known to put 500+ miles in a day to have fun with you guys...

Went yesterday while my brother was in town. Great fun!! They are running the track backwards if there is a request. It changes the track dynamics and evens it out for the new people who are just learning the track. Ask to run it both ways if you do more than 1 session which I am sure you will. Unfortunately I will be out of town this weekend and unable to come play. Have fun and put them in a wall if they don't yield to the flagger...:cool:

Frank was mentioning that we should consider eating something afterwards. The time might be a bit early for dinner if we wrap up about 4:00, I suppose we could just hang out there for a while in their grill area?

Anyone know that area very well that would reccomend some fantastic food around there we shouldn't be missing out on?

Hey, FWIW, looks like Sunday between 1-4 is 1/2 price racing, so that should work out well for us (considering we have a reservation anyway)

might have to pass :-( just got home from dinner and work all day. gonna try and get some sleep and see how the morning is. after a full day at MINI with 2 or more cust at a time and then goin out im dead. tomorrow will tell.

Hate to do it.... but I'm probably out.... been fighting some bug all week, went to the doctor again yesterday and finally have some drugs that might work, but running in severely degraded mode... no energy...argh... I was looking forward to this, too... we'll schedule a re-match....

I have to admit, after today... I AM HOOKED... simply addicted... and can't wait to go back... Glad I got the membership... for all those that skipped out, you missed a great chance to throw down some great racing...

Yeah, we definitely had a blast there... you simply can't get enough of the smell of small engines in an indoor environment, hahhaa.
