Dumbo me did not order a center arm rest and I need one... anyone out there buy the optional one and if so how do you like it?

What year model? R53 or R56?

I'll have an OEM R53 armrest available soon.

I'm currently using the MINI "Euro" aftermarket armrest (which I think may be the one you're asking about) and really like it.
