That depends... IF you want to attend any of the "official" functions - the dinners, brew swap, casino night, car show, etc. then registration is required. If you just plan to cruise around and not do any of the organized stuff, then it's optional...

I did not register last year and had a ball. Plan to do the same this year.

Who and when do you need to contact to register for the events? I would love to go this time, missed it wth Z3 club last year due to work. One of my coworker's grandparents live 10 minutes from there and he says it's very much worth the trip, plus, after reading about it in Road and Track last year, I gotta go.

Registration for events during the week will open soon on NAM. I'll post here the day it happens.

There is no need to register if you plan on just going and having fun with other MINI owners.

I hope you'll join us for the caravan up on Wednesday.

I wish I could come up with the caravan, but I don't have any vacation until May 26th but it is my long weekend so I should be heading up there on that friday and staying until I don't have any more fun!!.

We'd be interested in joining up for the drive. Keep us informed as to time, place... and if anyone is coming from the east, they can join us in Raleigh....

Missed the story in Road and Track last year....which issue was it? Would really like to order the back issue.

I don't remember which issue, I want to say it was around april or may issue. There was a map of the dragon's tail, various photos and minor list of who's who that have driven on it, including Michael Schumacher of all people!!!

When can we sign up for the Tour De Blimey?

Not sure what the plan is going to be yet. I decided to enter the car show on Friday afternoon... which might preclude the full length Tour de Blimey (or it would have to start and finish early)... I need to figure out what I'm going to do... stay tuned...

Quite a few people do. There IS a significant pet fee if said friend stays in a Fontana cabin.

Blimey's Favorite Canadian, Xiek has posted on NAM that he is comming down for the Dragon. What did he say Paul, something about your pretty nice for a Breeder?

MidnightDave

Yes, the wacky moose hunter will be there, likely with his entourage in tow. This time, Paul, you'll get all your maple cookies b/c Austin won't be around to steal them off your front porch and take them to Vannifer. ;-)

Paul or anybody, Is Jan going to be doing tunes at the dragon? I can't find a thread on NAM talking about this, and I thought there was some discussion? I can't make the dragon, however, I "have" to have a Jan tune sometime, so trying to look for a short(er) drive...

You guys be safe and have fun at the Dragon!

I actually don't know whether Jan's gonna be there or not - he went quiet about it, so I'm assuming not...
