Hey Everybody-

We've been MIA lately between my going back to school and an ailing father-in-law, about all we have time to do is drive our MINIs to work and the hospital.

Hope this finds everyone doing well - thrilled to see so much activity in the club!

Anyway, I would like to know about the restaurants in Greensboro for a birthday lunch/dinner for my mother-in-law. She is currently stationed down there while my FIL is going through rehab at Kindred Hospital, and her birthday is this Sunday. There should be about 10 adults going and while the foodies in both Rick and me are dying to try something outrageous if it's available - the rest of the clan has relatively mainstream taste buds.

Any help anyone can give will be greatly appreciated!!!

You may want to try the Village Tavern in Greensboro. They have locations in Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Alpharetta, GA and Scottsdale, AZ. Home office here in Winston. Here's a link . . . http://www.villagetavern.com/

Always a favorite and a varied menu. Bon Appetit!

There are some good restaurants at Friendly Center (www.friendlycenter.com (http://www.friendlycenter.com)). 'Bravo! Cucina Italiano' and 'P.F. Changs' are two of our favorites.

If any of you like hand crafted beer, Natty Greenes on Elm st downtown also has fantastic food.

have you tried triaddiner.com... they've got menus and prices and everything, and all the restaurants are local (not chain).

Wow, we totally know where to go now!

I really appreciate all of the recommendations - we will have to try them over the next few weeks as we are down there.

Turns out that some friends of my in-laws who live in Raleigh made the trip on Sunday to Greensboro to take my mother-in-law out to lunch. It was somewhere on Wendover that has Green in the name. I think it was best for her because she got to see someone other than her kids and talk about things other than her husband's prognosis and what the doctors know at this point.

Thank you for so much info - the family will be needing it over the next few weeks!
