Anybody work in the trades or professional roles that could benefit others in the club?

For instance, I know we have a real estate agent or two. I also know somebody moonlights as a stereo installer, or at least he should after looking at his set up!

If you're interested, just post your domain and then people can send you a private message asking for advice, or paid consultations, or services.

For instance, once Mr. Stereo Dude posts, (yes, I'm pushing you, go for it, man!), I'll contact him to get my V1 installed without all the wires hanging down the dash...(I don't mean you, Paul, I know you'd sneak in an air horn and scare the beejeezlejuice out of the wifey the next time she drives it. ;-0 )

Anybody do auto detailing? All three of mine are bad--actually, the truck's a mess!

I don't need a hair stylist, but somebody else might!

Lawn Services? Dentists? You get the idea...

I have participated in this type of "Goods for Services" swap and "networking" among friends many times, and it works out to be a great thing for the parties involved. I ighly encourage all to participate.

I own a web design company (www.catseyeweb.com (http://www.catseyeweb.com)) and produce custom virtual tours for real estate, hospitality, retail and other industries (www.360tours.net (http://www.360tours.net)).

NC Licensed Professional Land Surveyor here with 16 years experience. Started out as a laborer and worked my way up from there. Most of the work I have done has been in construction and boundary surveys... getting close to 15,000 surveys under my belt

Experienced with the following...

Topographic
As-built
Boundary
Minor Subdivision
GPS
Accident Scene location
ALTA/ACSM
Flood Study
Retracement
Construction Staking

It's getting a bit slow these days, since the housing market is really slowing down around here.

and as a former locksmith, Do Not Keep your second car key in the glove box!!!
Ok go ahead and laugh, it happens all the time. Get there to unlock their car and then ask if you can make them a spare key afterwards and they say, I have one in my pocket book ( which was locked in the car ) or it's in the glove box!!!!

I'll toss my services in here. I work for a sign company and do their vinyl work among other things. Take a look at my gallery and see some of the stuff I've done to my car in the last year and a half.
I have a templete to cut the magnet stone deflectors. $25 for a set. Mine have flat black vinyl on them. Can do flat and gloss black, matte/gloss white, metalic silver and some others. Kinda hard to match some body colors.. I covered all my chrome in flat black vinyl, head light rings, door handles, beltline, license plate light cover etc. Windshield graphics, window graphics such as, More Than Meets The Eye, Actual Size, Batteries Not Included, This Vehicle Makes Ridiculously Tight turns! Warning Not A Toy, Pull My Finger, Pull To Inflate, etc. etc. Pretty much anything you can come up with. Rear view mirror decal, "OBJECTS IN MIRROR APPEAR TO BE LOSING" or "FADING"..Can do some Bonnet Stripes depending on what you have in mind.. Viper stripes, checkers boards, etc. Just tell me what width you want.. Can't do everything but dream it up and we'll talk..

I'll play....

I own two bodyshops. One is Collision Specialties, Inc. We're on our 12th year, EVERYTHING we do is word of mouth and referall only. We do 99% of Hendrick Acura's work, lots of BMW's, minis, Lexus's, and used to do all of Dale Jarretts work (until I threw them out)

I can count on one hand how many comebacks we've had in those years. It's a 10K sq. ft. shop with two full paintbooths with heat, frame machine and 7 employees.

My other shop is only two years old. It is in Monroe, NC (Monroe Collision Center) That shop specializes in restorations. Our paintjobs start off at 4500 and go to 16K (we just did one for a '63 split window Corvette)

Anyway, every forum I've been on, we've done work for it's members. Last month, I had another member from Maryland wanting to drive his Corvette down here for some paintwork.

The corvette forum, miata forum, hummer forum... I try to take care of it's members. I've already done stuff on the NAM forum. One member sent me a palo uber carbon fiber scoop. He sent it to me, I tinted the paint, painted, wetsanded and buffed it. It was perfect. Shipped it back to him, he opened it and was thrilled to death.

So thrilled he forgot to put it back in it's box and when he took off, it fell out and chipped.

He sent it to me and I redid it for free.... didn't even pay for shipping.

Anyway, not to be brag on myself, I take customer's needs and wants very seriously. Customers that come to us are doing us a favor, not the other way around.

If I can help any of ya'll, let me know.

Mark
