We are renting an apartment in the Piedmont Leaf Lofts for about a year until our house is built near second and Shady Lane and will finally be living in Winston Salem starting on July 19th. Now the question is what cable/tv/internet to use. Do we really have much of a choice?
What about climate controlled storage? Any choices there?
Finally we have 3 cars but can only park 2 at the apartment. Looking for a garage/spot to park my 1999 MCoupe, but want access to it so I can drive it a couple times a month.
Thoughts?

I personlly would use Time Warner Earthlink for my internet as its $5 cheaper compared to RoadRunner.
I would use Vonage for phone as its the cheapest and has all the features you pay twice as much for through bellsouth.
And for TV I would use Direct TV if your building allows, still cheaper than time warner
These are what we have with 0 complaints in service and ease of use.
Let me know if you go with any of these as I could refer you and we both save $$$
I can help w/ the parking also, only its outside and only 15 min from downtown.

Welcome to W-S..
Cable service is Time Warner Cable, I also use Road Runner from them for Internet access, but the company pays for that so did not worry much about shopping around.
Just a quick search turns up:
http://www.mooreselfstorage.com/
And
http://www.fortknoxselfstorage.net/
I have no experience with these, so not a recommendation.

I actually have decided more than a year ago that local phone service is not where it is at, and have since moved to Skype and am super happy with it. So I only need cable / satellite and high speed internet.
Am not sure yet what s available in the building in terms of satellite versus cable but will look into it.
I can't find any info on the Time Warner Cable site about Earthlink. What is the difference between that and road runner?
And Twister, should I use anything you do, of course will i tell them "who sent me."
Thanks

its actually part of time warner thay just dont advertise it. The only difference is the email address and $5
@triad.rr.com vs @earthlink.net
If you do need a referral - I'll need to send you a link

Will check out road runner and earthlink, and yes send me the referral link

As for self-storage, in my previous life I visited Fort Knox self-storage at I-40/Peter's Creek Parkway several times per month. Easy to access. Climate controlled inside the warehouse. What the pricing was, I don't know. Do know that several pharma sales reps kept stuff there, so must be safe, dry and secure...
