New guy in VA

Hey Tarheels, I thought I'd stop by and register over here at your site as well. We have an 07 Mellow Yellow Cooper S. I've been a car guy for years, not really sure what took me so long to grab a MINI! I've autocrossed for 30 years (yea, I'm an old guy!), been Solo II Chariman for the Old Dominion Region SCCA for about 15 years until I "retired" from that, now helping NASA-Mid Atlantic with their autocross program. I'm fairly active at Hampton Roads MINI, (hrmini.com) and we'd love to see some of y'all up at out Autocross School atthe awesome ACU4 site, or the Guiness World Record event.

The Boy child goes to Johnson & Wales in Charlotte and unfortunately for me, takes the MINI with him. We've come down and run a few autocrosses with CCR and SCR regions. He'll usually run G Stock and I'll run D/SP. We hate running against each other. Since our F150 just got totalled, we're in the car market again and seriously looking at another MINI! Hope to see y'all at one of your events soon!

Welcome! Looking forward to meeting you. Come down to the BMWCCA event at the BMW Performance Center with us, it'll be a drive for you, but worth it. We get on the track out back and it's like a fast auto-x...we'll post it this fall when it gets closer to event time.
