I would like to know if there would be any interest on a whitewater rafting trip on the Lower New River with NARR (North American River Runners http://www.narr.com) in August?

I rafted with NARR a number of years ago and it was a wild time. I recommend them for their clean facilities, experienced guides and safety record (I investigated all this because my last trip was with 5 teenagers..call me crazy). For anyone who has never seen where the New River Bridge crosses, it is a fantastic sight to see. If there is any interest, I would be happy to gather the requisite information.

For those who might wish to stay overnight, there are a variety of accommodation options fwith NARR from camping, RV sites, cabin tents to bunkhouses. The trip from the Winston-Salem area is under 3 hours. For those who would want to stay overnight, I am sure you can find some great twisties to drive (http://www.nps.gov/neri/planyourvisit/upload/NERI_ScenicDrives.pdf).

I think a Saturday will work great in August ... just let me know if you are interested...and if you need accommodations and what type so I can gather all the pricing. NARR does accept major credit cards as payment. All equipment is either provided or can be rented (wetsuits $15, etc.).
