Depending on how these REALLY turn out.... very good chance that a Crossman will be my next MINI.... though I'm not expecting it to be very much like the concept...

Looks pretty cool on the outside.. not sure about the "globe" in the middle of the dash though..

I'm pretty confident that part won't (ever) make it into production. :jester:

Personally the idea worries me a bit. This indicates to me that the MINI brand is starting to become too interested in appealing to the mass market. This is a very slippery slope that can lead to a watered down, no personality line of cars. Just my $0.02.

Definitely a valid concern. That's why I'm keeping my destined-to-become-classic R52 FOREVER.

Or until the crank dry-rots like Ivan's. ;)

I like it, a very upscale Minized Subaru...... That said I do hope that they don't forget to dance with the lady who brung them (car enthusiast). Very seldom do the stars aline in such a way as they did when BMW developed the BMW Mini, with the only intention being to recreate a classic design and intended for limited numbers sold to enthusiast not soccer Moms. Alas it's overwhelming success could only make smart thinking people see the opportunity for a complete stylish, well handeling line of cars built from a base platform (R56). One can only hope that they don't loose sight of the purest who made the Mini a succes and continue to keep building a great little pocket rocket for us. Like Paul I plan on keeping my R53 until it is pryed from my cold dead hands.....:man_in_love::laugh:

I think it will be a slightly redesigned Clubman, with all wheel drive. But that's just a guess, I did not even see anyway to put gas in the concept car.

fuel door is on the right side, at the rear. I saw it in one photo...

I've heard it WILL have "four real doors"....

a) I'll pass.

b) John is always lookling on the wrong side of something...

c) SAAB lost it's "quirky" luster when they went mainstream and unfortunately, the same thing may be happening here...

Well Dave,

If quirky luster means your car's electrical system shorts out for going on two years, maybe thats a good thing. Heck I really like having a MINI but gee enough is enuff. I need to start car shopping.
