We discussed this yesterday at the clean-up, but here are the plans.

I'm going to be in Highlands, and know a great road to run. It is a county paved road with several tight switch-backs. It is a great hill-climb road. And is fun to drive. We can spend about 30 minutes on this running up and down. I think we can even block the road with a person at the top and bottom, and let other cars know we are "filming". It only takes about 3 minutes to run it so it is not like we are causing a traffic jam.
The Tar Heel contingency will leave Fontana Village at 9:00 sharp Friday morning, driving to Highlands. According to Yahoo it should take about 1:45, but that is not MINI driving.
I will meet everone before 10:30 on Hwy 64, between Franklin and Highlands, at Bust Your Butt falls. It will be about 3 miles after you go through the gorge. At the gorge, you will see Cullasaja Falls on the right.
From Bust Your Butt falls, we will drive to Dry Falls, where you can walk behind. Leaving there we will go to Bridal Veil Falls, were you can drive you car underneath.
From there we will drive into Highlands to run the road I talked about earlier. After that we will eat, and then drive to Cashiers (enjoying the scenery along the way). From Cashiers, we will drive toward Sylva (with a detour through Western Carolina University) to give the college students a thrill.
From Sylva to Dillsboro, where if anyone wants to see the train wreck that was filmed for The Fugative, we can. Then we will return via Bryson City to Fontana. I expect to be back by 3:00 to 3:30.
If you are interested or have questions let me know.
