For those of you who are attending the Raleigh party, is there any preference to cake......chocolate or white cake? I just want to know before I order it. It is a minor detail but I just want everyone to enjoy the celebration! :)

I am not sure if Damon's will reserve spots for parking (I have to double check on that) but they will be having a spot inside for us, so when you come into Damon's please tell the hostess that you are here for the Tarheel MINI Motoring Club anniversary party.

I talked to the manager at Ruby Tuesdays today and they said they are excited about us coming on Sunday. They are saving us parking spots out front so we can all park together, she also said that the corporate office wants to take some pictures of the cars and email them to the other locations. I just confirmed that Butch will be bringing his racing mini cooper S.

Lets party

Any questions please call

Mark,

It is not much but you know that since I have MS I am very active with the MS Society and their functions. Tonight I attended an event that featured drag racer Robert Burgin who has MS. When I got to the hotel tonight, I saw the trailer that carried his race car (they had it there tonight) but I also saw a MINI parked next to it. So tonight after the event, he was signing picture cards and I asked him if he drove a MINI. He said that yes, that was his MINI I saw and that they haul it in the top of their trailer everywhere they go because that is his personal car. Well, I told him about our club and our anniversary and I asked him if he would sign the card to the club rather than to me. He wrote "Tarheel MINI Motoring Club 1st Anniv. --Congrats" and signed it. So, I will be getting that to you in the mail next week. If you want to know more about him, here is a link. (The main sponsor of his car is Biogen Idec, makers of Avonex which is one of the MS injectables....it is made in RTP)

If you can't make it for lunch at least stop by and say hi have some cake.
:D It's going to be a lot of fun and the cake looks good too. We are having to threaten the kids to keep them away from it. Looking foward to tomorrow in Burlington.

We had a good turnout in Burlington at Ruby Tuesday. They provided us with all the MINI burgers we could eat FREE!!! They were really excited about us coming and would like us to come back. They are going to try and feature our club in their company newsletter.

We had a good turn out in Burlington. The folks at Ruby Tuesdays really catered to us well, they really want us to do more meets there. They gave us three big platters of the Ruby minis on the house. they took a bunch of pictures of the cars and are going to try to get them in there national publication. Just a great time with some really great people.

Had a great time in Burlington, and the folks at Ruby Tuesday's were GREAT!. The manager even came outside to be included in the pictures. Tim did an outstanding job organizing this and has plans to go back again.

Tim, let me know when the "Old Liberty Road" trip is. Sounds like fun, especially if we can finish at Ruby's again.
