Okay folks,
Lets meet at the Drive-in and see "CARS"! It opens at the best 2 outdoor theater's in NC.

The only question is what date would you like to go? Opening night is Friday the 9th but that might be a little hard on some folks so my suggestion is to meet Saturday the 10th around 8pm at the drive-in. This is another dual city event! You can come to either Durham or Mt Airy to hang out with fellow MINI owners to watch the movie. Please let me know if you will be coming so I can let the owners know how many to expect. I'm planning on taking the kids to the Cars movie in Durham.

Are there plans on where to congregate so that we all get to park together, or is just getting there early (i.e. before everyone else) the way to go?

My thought is the first car there could save a few spots for the others to park beside. Let me know everyones thoughts.

I plan on going to Mt Airy. Not sure on how many from my house will want to attend as well. The Triumph club is planning on attending as well and is trying to reserve space. Perhaps we can park next to them?

I went to a sneak preview last night of cars. It is great. I think one of my relatives is in the movie, the tow truck. For those who know my real name it will mean something.

Without telling a lot of the story, look for an S when they are photographing the lead car after he is "found".

I went to the movie in Mt Airy. I didn't see any other Minis there except one and it belonged to someone who wasn't in our club.
I hung out with Triumph club who parked in the row behind me. The weather was great. Other than the fact that there was a huge crowd at the concessions stand, we had a good evening and enjoyed the movie. We hung around to 1Am and left while Shaggy Dog was playing.
I hadn't been to the drive in in 30 years but it hasn't changed much except that the sound is broadcast to your car radio.
