Hey! I'm Twister's daughter, Shea, and I was thinking about having a bowling event. We would go to Creekside Lanes which is across the street from Flow and the event would be held on a Saturday some time in July. Please let me know if you are interested!

I took my team to Dave and Busters recently, (many of them are from India), and of all the actitivies we all had the most fun bowling! I was the worst bowler, so they REALLY liked that! ;-)

We're remodeling our kitchen around that time, so I don't know if I can make 8/5, however, a) you guys should go, b) I'll catch it another time if not this one...

I probably won't be able to make this one, but we'll see. I'm supposed to be going to Florida for a friends wedding that weekend. Hopefully I'll be taking delivery of my Mini on the 3rd or 4th though. :D

The Second Harvest Food Bank has made an appeal for donations, as their shelves are nearly bare. For every dollar donated to them, they can distribute $15 worth of food to a family in need. We as a Club would like to help, so we have set up the following:

We will have a bowling get-together this Saturday, August 5th. We will meet at the new Flow MINI dealership at 12:00, and will head across the street to Creekside Lanes at about 1:00. We are asking people who participate to bring donations of food or money, which we will deliver to Second Harvest. We are also issuing a challenge for those who wish to bowl ? the club will donate .02 to SHFB for every point bowled by our club members that day, so put on your bowling shoes and come on out!

For those who would like to donate, but can?t come on Saturday, you can drop off food or monetary donations at any Wachovia bank branch.

If you would like to bowl with us on Saturday, we have 6 lanes reserved (and can get more if we need to), and there are 2 ways to pay and play:

Pay $2 per person for shoes and $2 per person per game for as many games as you bowl.

Get together your group for one lane (up to 6 people), and get shoes for everyone, 2 hours of bowling, a large pizza, and a pitcher of sodas for $35.

If you plan to attend, please reply so we can know how many to expect. Hope to see you there!

I might be able to attend......just depends on a few circumstances that would have to fall into place....I won't go into boring detail! I have not bowled in over a decade and I am sure that I will be lousy, but what the hell? So, if everything falls into place, I will be there......otherwise I will at least make a donation. If we go to a Wachovia bank to donate, do we tell them we are donating on behalf of the club?

Wachovia will take cans or grocery bags and no need for mention of club. I think its a statewide thing for wachovia. Please check locally, just in case.

I know quite a few of us havent bowled in a LOOOONG time.

Okay, I am not going to be able to make it. One of the things to fall into place was how my doctor's appointment yesterday went for tendonitis in my ankle. I have been dealing with this now for months and as a last resort, the doctor put me in a cast.....I can't drive with it on and Gregg is working on Saturday. :(

Thanks to everyone for coming out to bowl yesterday. We had a great time with MINI enthusiasts from all over NC ? Durham, Raleigh, Charlotte, King, and Winston-Salem, with a total of 10 bowlers who bowled a combined 3,836 points, for which we will donate $192 to the Second Harvest Food Bank. We also had $20 and bags of food donated. Please remember that it?s not too late to drop money or food donations off at your local Wachovia Bank branch!
