Toys for Tots drive / drive

What about a Toys for Tots drive, wherein we call collect toys for T4Ts, and then drive in caravan to a drop off point together?

We did this in my Tacoma club one time, and it was pretty neat, everybody in succession dropping off a bag of toys--at a Ford truck dealership!

BTW, you can get great deals on stuffed animals throughout the year, at grocery stores, drugstores and the like right after each Holiday, (bears after Valentine's day, rabbits after Easter, skeletons after-- :eek: okay, never mind that one.)

Just a thought?

Also, I have a few totes full of toys if we need to "subsidize" anybody...

Great Idea!

Last year we did a food drive for Second Harvest along with dinner out in Greensboro. I hope this year we can do more!

Guys, I put on the Whine and Wine run, and I'm not up to leading this, however, I have about 5 totes full of stuffed animals. It would be fun to load up our boots and do a "drive to" then deliver them to a T4T drop site and maybe grab some lunch.

Any takers? If not, I'll just fill a barrel or two at a drop site...

I'll go. Would be fun just to do it. I have been on the other end of this in the Marine Corps, but never got to participate that much because of other duties.

With my work schedual it would have to be early or on a weekend depending on when. If it is on Christmas, Christmas eve or even the 23rd I would make it work.

Yipes! The wifey just took all 5 of my totes to the local Wachovia branch yesterday. Guess we'll plan it for next year?
