Let's start a regular weekly or biweekly meet again!

What do you guys think? How about some kind of regular meet, nothing formal, nothing extravagant, just some people meeting up to talk cars and look at nice Mini's. Just meet for coffee or a beer or something simple like that.

I'm thinking a weeknight as opposed to a weekend. Seems like everyone has pretty hectic weekends, or the club has large event's already planned. A weeknight would give a little break from the mundane during the week, something to look forward to after work. :D

The kicker here is finding a place to meet up... We've done a number of bi-weekly meets at Starbucks in Greensboro but their parking isn't that great. I've been trying to scope out new locations but I'm not having a whole lot of luck.

Minianni, have I heard you say there are weekly cruise-in's up in King?

Post up thoughts, suggestions, yay's, nay's, anything! :D

There are several Sonic Drive Ins in the area that maybe we could converge on. I know the new one in Reidsville has and inside area as well as the car hop thing. I think it would be great if we can come up with a spot. Tuesday or Wednesday is best for us

There's a thought. I'm not big on Sonic's food but the drinks are tasty.

I think Tuesday's would work well for us too. LOST comes on on Wed. ;)

Nothing every week in King but there is a cruise-in in Highpoint every Thurs. eve. next to the Sonic just before Bus.85. There are others 1st and 3rd Mon. in Mocksville, last Sat up in Mt.Airy, etc... I can't think of any other just now. Season is winding down.

Hmmm... The High Point thing sounds interesting. Do you go to that regularly? What other kinds of cars are out there?

The High Point thing is mostly older/muscle cars. It's a nice mature crowd generally though. It's also about 1/2 mile from where I work, so I'm easily up for that location. They usually get together pretty early though and disperse early also, so it may be tough for people to make it there after work and before people start to head home.

By the way, I would be up for this, and I'm pretty flexible on time/day of the week too.

Every Thurs eve. at High Point. Minianni and I took "Madge' there and she got plenty of looks. Usually the same cars show up so when there is something new everybody gets interested.

Burlington has a Sonic as well, located on US 70 (South Church St). Sonic sounds like a great idea, no matter where.
