[Nascar Mini]

I know it's early but mark your calenders for Oct 16, 17 & 18 for the Euro Auto Festival at the BMW plant in Spartanburg,SC. This year the featured marque's are Mini (50 year Anniversary) and Morgan (100 years) so it's the 150 years of British cars! The show itself is on Sat and if you've never been, you're in for a treat! The BMW museum is really cool with nice cars from their beginning up to a F1 car! (and its free!). Then of course the show itself is great, every marque from Europe is represented, some older cars you may not even have heard of. The grounds are beautiful and there is even a cafeteria to grab lunch. So if you love to look at beautiful Alfa's, BMW's, Ferrari's, Porsche's, Lancia's, Triumph's, MG's, TVR's, Rolls Royce's, Bentley's, Jag's, Volvo's, Morgan's, Mini's and more, be there and support our marque, it's going to be a big event for Mini.

As time draws near we could put together a caravan,its a pretty easy route if you want to take the interstate,as its just I-77S to I-85S to exit 60,its right off the interstate.

This sounds like a great time to schedule a short run up to the Smokies, not far from the BMW plant in Greer. Colors should be at peak about the time too.

I saw that NAM was trying to gather MINIs to beat the record for the most marque cars at the show. I think it was 106? Already checked the schedule and I am off. I would love to ride down with you! The side drive sounds cool too!

I was planning to go one day, wanted to try autocross but no helmet :(
Its after the registration deadline for the car show and some other stuff. There is a 500 car registration limit, whatever that means. I hope I can wander around and take the factory tour. I get an 'iffy' feeling from their web site still. Iffy this event happens.

Even if the 500 car limit is met and i believe it is or will be by Sat from what i'm being told,you can still park in the parking lot,pay admission and roam the show field and see all the cars, the museum,and grab a bite in the cafeteria inside the muesum and meet old and make new friends. The weather is supposed to be partly cloudy and cool,so come on down!
