Now that I finally got the car, I'll say hello.

I got my MINI with cash for clunkers- the most stressful car purchase program every invented. The evening before I was going to sign the paperwork (after 4 weeks of prep) they 'sort of' suspended the program... enough that FlowMINI got more cold feet and didn't want to sell me the car- after I'd gone all in and sold my Scion tC, and was stuck driving a scary rustbucket. My 94 Dodge Dakota finally got the liquid glass treatment, and I went home with a MINI.

I saw that on the events list, but sadly no. I'm visiting my family in Chicago (they just moved away from Raleigh).

I'm planning on the Oct 3 How Run, unless there is another (driving) club event before then.

Welcome to the club blitzcat. Glad to hear you got the MINI sale completed. I had been wondering (which it doesn't really apply to you I don't think) whether we might see an influx of new members due to the Cash for Clunkers program. Hope to see you at an event soon! I think there were at least a dozen CFC purchases in the last 3 days over at Flow. When I left Friday, they were planning to accept CFC at least through Saturday. Due to how long the CFC paperwork takes, I spent a lot of time waiting/talking to some of the other CFC customers. One couple that was also getting a Cooper S said they were already a member or lurker here.
