Tanglewood Lights Run?

Depending on the day, I am up for it. I plan on going maybe the friday evening after Christmas, though I imagine you want to go before. Anyway, I will probably be up for it. :)

One of you W/S folks needs to suggest a date. I would think you would know better than us Eastern folks when the best time & date would be based on past experiences. Looking forward to it.

I can tell you this much from experience... weekend nights and the last few nights before Christmas are very busy. Doing this on a weeknight is probably the best idea, like Wednesday the 20th, or somewhere around there. I think anytime after the 20th will be very busy, depending of course on what time we would go and what the weather would be like.

I wonder if they do discounts for group outings like this?

I work weeknights so I cannot go, but I hope it is a good time for all of you. Rana and I went to Macadenville to view the lights after the meet at Quaker Steak & Lube. The traffic was not bad and the streets were really nice enjoyed it and the weather made it a plus.

It's $9 per car on weeknights. I'll try calling to find out if there are any discounts for a group like ours. I'll probably need to know how many cars are coming to try to get a special rate though.

EDIT: Looks like we're talking 5-7 cars right now. If anyone else is interested please let me know by the Christmas party this Saturday. I'll try to organize it from there. If we can get 10+ cars that should help get a good price.

Also, are you all wanting to go eat first or would you rather just plan it as an after dinner event?

Plan 1: Meet at Jimmie's at 6pm for dinner, then to Tanglewood around 7:30-8

Plan 2: Meet at the Grocery store parking lot across from Tanglewood at 8.

I'm fine with either, though I would prefer Plan 2, personally. We can do either one, or we can do both, whatever everyone wants. :)

Plan 2 works better for us. I don't think we could make dinner at six but could catch up to ya there if everyone is going to eat. Let us know and we will be there on the 20th.

I think Meeting at around 7:30 is a good idea. You can meet other members before the drive through and talk about plans for getting in and out.

Ok, I couldn't get the admission cost down any for our group, but since it's a weeknight it'll be $9. Let's plan on meeting at 7:30 as Mark has suggested. If anyone needs any more info or directions feel free to email me or call me anytime.
