Something that some of the members here may be interested in attending is the 5th Annual Davidson County EMS Explorers Auto Show.
The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at the Davidson County Fair Grounds in Lexington, NC. Show registration begins at 8:00 a.m., with judging to begin promptly at noon. Winners and awards will be announced at approximately 1:30 p.m..
As a former PT Cruiser owner, and member of various PT Cruiser owners groups, I have participated in the show a few times. It's a lot of fun and all of the money goes to support the Davidson County EMS Explorer program.
An 1st and 2nd place award will be given for each of the following classes:
Truck, 4x4 Vehicle, Sports Compact Vehicle, Restored Vehicle, Modified Vehicle, Street Bike, Street Rod, Tractor, PT Cruiser, Muscle Cars, Corvettes, and Mini Trucks.
All vehicles must be in running condition to receive awards.
From past experience, with the PT Cruiser clubs, I would think that if enough Minis would pre-register (6-8 Minis), they would add a seperate class for Mini Coopers.
For additional information, and early registration forms, contact Karen Skeen 336-472-8771.
