Phil and the gang will be back on May 17th - there are still some slots available. This is a good intro to track / performance driving for folks who have never done this before. It's also fun to drive with a bunch of MINIs. Not as "hardcore" as some of the other events. But the Intermediate and Expert groups get fairly sporting. :yes4:

Tell them you want the $275 "early bird" rate.
I'll be there. Who else is going?

Got his e mail but can't make it this year..
As Paul mentioned it is a great first event, or 2nd 3rd etc. Some people have done dozens of his events..
All MINIs too..

I'm registered.
They are not as organized as many others, but they are still my favorites, especially when there is a big MINI turnout.

I'll be there as well. I'm a new member to the club so I hope to meet some other club members there. This will be my 2nd Phil Wicks event and the 1st one was great.

Looks like we'll be running in the rain. Oh well, done it before! At least I won't be in danger of melting my tires like two years ago!

I had a great day - up until the time Jeff kissed the armco. Before that, though, it was awesome, rain and all. Lots of people spinning all over the place (including me - twice) but that made it a great clinic on MINI car handling in extreme conditions.

The "Phil Wicks Experience" sessions I ran in all day reinforced a feeling I had had for a while: I REALLY love track time in the rain! Paul, you and Mark were having some fantastic sessions out there, I'm just sorry I didn't get more of a chance to chat with you guys because of the session schedules. It was a real bummer about Jeff's spin, but I'm very glad he was unhurt. Paul, did you shoot any in car video that day? If so, it would be cool to see!

It was totally awesome. I had the most fun and it put interest back in driving again for me, since my old autocross days which I loathe. I'm a cone hater. My instructor had me take the DSC off on my 1st session and guess what happened? He, Ray, was really cool person, "Let's see what you can do and then..." . He was finding things about my shifting and stuff I never would see...
Well I did get a little better bit by bit, but need to do a dry session some time soon. I spent a good amount of time directing cars around me; and not getting to focus on my line, my learning, in some session, but that was learning too.
I will do this again, P.W. and crew were just so friendly and not pretentious.
4,5,6, were just a hoot every time. :sarcastic:

Yep even after coming down with the CRUDE Sunday and feeling like crap Monday we had a blast!!! Running in the rain is challenging to say the least but a great learning tool, my instructor really helped me to put another piece in the puzzle! Got my first on track spin in too, a slow roundy round in 5 that came outta nowhere... Was pretty pleased with the Autocross where we finished second amongst the Mini's and third overall (Vette won), big improvement from the last one!!!! It was great to see so many Tarheeler's having a great time at the track!!
