Hi All! Here is a good excuse to get out of work on a Friday afternoon...
There is a charity golf tournament to support SERTOMA - http://www.wssertoma.org/, a service group that helps speech and hearing impaired kids. Camp Sertoma in King, NC is one of their big projects.
The tournament is May 7th, 2010 at Oak Valley Golf Club - http://www.oakvalleygolfclub.com/ in Advance, west of Winston Salem 15 minutes. It is Captain's Choice format, has a lot of door prizes, and the top 3 teams receive $800 for 1st, $400 for 2nd, and $200 for 3rd place. Though I am playing for my once-per-year fun. If I'm lucky, I'll leave with my balls...
The price is $65/person, $260/team. Includes a driving range warm-up, lunch and goodie bag of balls, tees, coupons, etcetera. It was great fun last fall, and will be again.
I hope we can muster up a few players. Let me know your interest, or simply go to the Sertoma website (http://www.wssertoma.org/)and select the 'Player' link. Wanting to sponsor? Click the 'Sponsor' link. Tell them you know me. My brother and sister-in-law are Sertoma members. He is unenviably President, which means he does everything!
A great cause, and a great time. Wear your club shirt - a little THMMC exposure. Hope you can make it.
Thanks, Alan
