Problem with my cd changer connection!!

Greetings all,
Hope all is well with everyone. I've been having a problem for the past 6months. My 6 disk cd changer magazine didn't want to come out of the cartridge. My fiance and I have tried to figure out the problem. We even brought barely used unit without the magazine from ebay. I'm somewhat convinced that its the connection or the magazine itself.
When ever I unplug and plug it in again its just reads the cds, But doesn't eject the magazine itself.

HELP!!! I really dont want to go to the dealer just have them say "oh you need a new one"

any suggestions???

I'm of no help as I don't have one, but before you go to the dealer I'd take it to a stereo shop and let them look at it. Might be something simple and a freebie!!

Try The Stereo Shop on reynolda road http://thestereoshopnc.com/ they are down toward old town on reynolda road and are great at trouble shooting. I've had some stuff done there and I think some other club members have also.

You guys are really helpful, of course my repair methods are a little more old school. There is very little that can't be fixed with a hammer or a large stick.

Well in truth I would rip out the cd changer and run an ipod adaptor from the cd changer back to the front of the car and presto as many cd's as you would like. The adaptors are around $100 if you shop around or the stereo shop will install for around $220.
