Top won't open

My 06 Conv. top has just quit opening all the way. It will open as a sun roof, but then when trying to continue opening completly the red lite on the open button flashes. Just checking to see if anyone has had this problem before going by dealership.

I have a coupe, but on my previous convt. it had a similar issue and it turned out that a cable had snapped near the motor. Is it binding up before it stops or does it just come to a sudden hault?

Thanks for the reply. I went by the dealership and they messed with it and got it to work. I had taken out the back tray and it has to be "just" right for it to be touching some sensors in order for the top to work. Guess I didn't have it in correctly..

I knew it was something simple but couldn't remember what it was. I think Rog was telling me about that same situation a couple weeks ago. Glad you got it fixed!
