I had my first annual service this week, so I got started on a vinyl refresh too. The new stripes are not on yet, but my roof graphic is nearly done.

Its another 'cut by hand' project. I posted more details in my THM blog. (http://www.tarheelminis.org/entry.php?45-Still-didn-t-get-the-new-stripes-on-but-this-is-exciting-anyway)

I love it but don't hate me, isn't it upsidedown/backwards? The shooter shoots from below

I was thinking the same thing but.......
artistic license since its on the roof? felt weird turned the other way
.......... I think it would look off balance the "right ...eerrrr....other way".
Where did you get the vinyl from? I have been thinking about doing some small stuff but there isn't anyone local that sells it uncut.

I got it from a race car supply for making numbers, it was fairly cheap but not the highest tier vinyl you might get. Its good enough for this application (I think).

But I've been ordering rolls off ebay for stripes. For small stuff you might need the higher quality thinner stuff.
N2MINI or TWISTER will be able to give you better answers than me.

I would think one of the local sign places would be willing to sell you some. Fast Signs, Sign-a-roma, etc..
Like Matt mentioned a good race shop will probably have some as well for numbers..
If you know you don't plan to keep the vinyl on but so long the cheap stuff is fine.
If you want it to last it's better to get the High Performance Cast Vinyl from any manfacture. 3M, Oracal, Avery, Sparcal..
If you were closer to me I could get you some depending on what colors you wanted..

Thanks for the info. I am just looking for some stuff to do some small projects. when I settle on a design for some strips I'll give Bryan and Mark a call.

Stripes look good and so does the fine looking animal. We have two rescued greyhounds and love them. The Jack Russel is positive that she will be able to catch them someday. I just tell her to "dream on". :victory:

The rain finally let up so I could put on the boot stripes.
