Hey all,
We have an opportunity to take in a GP with only 13,000 miles on it, but its a relatively obscure car that will likely sit in wait for awhile for an enthusiast if we do. I was just wondering if anyone is at all interested in it? We're looking at pricing it at about $20,000.
Just thought I'd ask!

If I were a buyer I'd only buy this either from a true MINI dealer or take my chances at auction. Anywhere else I don't think a specialty vehicle like this can command full price- so much that I would be willing to pay more at private sale than I would at a dealer. It just feels tainted coming from any other car lot. Good luck but I know I'd pass on it.

is there another kind of MINI dealer besides a "true" MINI dealer?
My boss would prefer not to take it in, but I was thinking someone I knew might be interested in it with such low mileage. I think the guy is trying to trade it for a new JCW.

I would love to have it, that's a great deal. Alas, I would have to hit the lotto to afford two MINIs.

I didn't realize you worked at a MINI dealer. I thought it was just some car lot in VA. I'd take it in then.

Sounds like a good deal. Only way I would buy it is if I could "afford" it as a second car to keep the miles low like the previous owner..
If I had bought it new back then probably would have drove it as a daily driver but not if buying it now..

let me know if you know anyone that is interested in it. I'd like to take it in just to get to drive it. lol.. But I really dont think itll be fully appreciated by anyone other than an enthusiast, so It may very well sit here for awhile.

Epic amount of interest. I just need some dough, more like permission.

I think when a GP comes up for sale there is always intrest, but like everyone has stated so far its coming up with the cash that is the issue. Not having seen the vehicle, based on milage alone, IMO this is a great price, wish I could come up with the cash.
I purchased mine form a local used car lot a little over a year ago. It had 15k on it and I paid a little more than what this one is being listed for.
I kind of agree with you on the enthusiast point, but I also think this would be a perfect first time MINI owner car (which is my case). Let them test drive one or two on the lot, watch that grin get a little bigger after you put them behind the wheel of the GP.
If you don't mind me asking, what number is it?

If I could get another GP, this looks good! Best of luck selling, and to the new lucky owner!

you know, I'm not sure what number it is. Its not actually here on the property, we haven't bought it from him yet.

$20K is a good deal on a GP. There are a few listings on NAM for $21K but with higher mileages. Maybe try listing it there once you acquire it.
