Ok, so I live out in the middle of B.F.E.(literally); so I get a tremendous amount of bugs on my windshield in an average trip to the store, etc.

Nathan and I were talking about it today coming back from Lowe's Hardware and we were wondering if there was any aftermarket equipment such as a wind deflector etc. to help decrease the amount of bugs hitting the windshield. I know they make things like this for American cars/trucks/vans, but wasnt sure about MC's. Didnt really seem feasible considering the grille is attached to the hood as opposed to being attached to the body/front valance.

Is there anything out there? What do you guys do to decrease the bugs on the windshield (other than washing the car daily)?

An average trip home, from Hwy 52 to the house on 268 averages.... between 10 and 15 bugs of various sizes, and when I hit the windshield washer fluid, it just makes it worse, and smears bug guts A-L-L over the windshield to the point where I have to look out the window at a different angle.

So Im new to MC's and learning the tricks of the trade.... what "tricks" do you guys use?

Hmmm...not for bugs, but at one time I couldn't afford a wiper motor for my car, (I was 16, it was like $100 and min wage was $1.50 you do the math ;-) ) anyway, I waxed the windshield to repel the rain, (Rain-X and Armorall weren't invented yet, and yes, I'm really that old!), double anyway, maybe it would work for bugs? I have the same problem with these road trips to hang with you guys. You should see my windshield right now!

Ok, so I applied Rain-x to my front windshield and my back window.... Lets see how that works....
