here are mine

'23 t-bucket kit car - hand built with a blown 427 - Father/Son project... dad paid for it, I built it - sold to pay for college

'73 Nova SS Hatchback - 350/350 with tunnel ram, dual holly 650's, bored.. all mine - destroyed in a tornado

'69 VW beetle - purchased for $750, primer gray & rust - had huge rotted hole behind back seat which would send lovely Carbon Monoxide in the car. I always was sleepy driving in this - college car - brakes, clutch shot - traded in for next
car

'70 Chevy panel van - I had every intention of turning this into a "Mystery Machine" done up like the van from the Scooby Doo Cartoons, but I could never find the time to work on it. I owned this for 7 years only drove it 2-3 times. It was so patched together it would barely run.

'90 Daihatsu - Small Korean car - Most noteable thing about this was the 3 cylinder engine... low horsepower, but very roomy for a sub-compact. Got great gas mileage - had about 29 Grateful Dead stickers and 100k miles on this one when I traded it in for the next

'97 Toyota Tacoma Extended Cab - Great truck, I still have this one and just broke 150k miles about 2 weeks ago. No major mechanical problems other than having an alignment issue that will not go away

2003 MCS - Definately one of my favorites so far. I should be modding this rather heavily, it is a work in progress.

although not a car... I owned a 90 Kawasaki Vulcan - 750cc from 1991-1992 - I loved this bike but it was stolen and never recovered

Want to talk about a P.O.S? That Toyota I mentioned was a patched up piece. I actually learned how to drive a stick in this thing... Anyways, Dad and his shadetree mechanic work (R.I.P.) put this one out of its misery. I had an oil leak coming from the front cover, the gasket had gone bad. Instead of taking the front of the engine apart (which wouldnt have been that bad to begin with) my dear ol' father decides to JB weld the hole shut. Yes, it was a temporary fix, but the oil decided to find other means of coming out. I was driving down the road, behind another car and let me just say this.... I was literally spraying the car I was behind with oil from my engine. (told you this thing was a P.O.S.) Needless to say, this thing died on the side of the road.... not far from where the oil incident happened.

After that, I didnt let my dad touch my vehicles in that respect again. I learned how to fix things myself.... Me and a friend of mine managed to change out the engines in my 79 f-150 after the first engine dropped 3 rods and punched a hole in the side of the engine..... yeah, that was a mess. The 79 ran fine, but the gas mileage sucked..... driving back and forth from China Grove to Central Ave in Charlotte to work.... 8 miles per gallon!

anyways, wanted to share that.

It's ironic, so many of these cars were "just cars" and I didn't covet them, keep them or take pic's, even though they were GREAT cars. (See Corvair, 280Z, 'vette)

My first car was a 1979 Subaru 4-door sedan. Hated it. Spent more time driving one of my Dad's vehicles while the Subaru was being repaired.

I replaced it with a 1988 Honda CRX. I drove this car for 10 1/2 years. Loved it. Never gave me any major trouble, and it was so light that it could really move. I lived in the mountains for most of the time I had the car, so the light weight also caused some near-death experiences. This wasn't one of them, but one time I was driving with snow chains on the front, came into a sharp turn, lost the back end, and wound up on the other side of the road facing the opposite direction.

Bought a 1999 VW Passat GLS V6 in 98 to replace the Honda. Have enjoyed it, but repairs have been much more costly than the Honda.

If I ever get my fanny going and find the pics of some of my old vehicles, I'll post 'em. There should be a '61 mini and a '68 Chevy van 4x4 on a Jeep J10 frame with 6' of head room, sink, ice box, fish cooler, hammock ( over the sink in front of the dinette.

And of course some race bikes and other old Chevy trucks.

06 MINI Cooper S (traded the van for it-personal victory:p) bonnet stripes,sport,premium,sirius. When the Volvo S60 got totalled I wanted to take my time and find something different, fun,unique- I have found exactly what I was looking for!:D

Wow that's a long list- I really need to stick with something but I think I've finally found some that I'll like for longer than 6 mos.
