Bat Cave

I don't know if I would call this great, but it is pretty good. I drove from Black Mountain to Bat Cave on Hwy 9 today. Turned right at Bat Cave on 74-A and took it into Asheville. Lots of curves. Good scenery as well.

Been there, done that. Not a bad road and you are correct on the scenery. Went there last year to see the Dream House at Lake Lure.

I came up the segment of 64 that hits 74 just below that today... it was really nice, too!

I ventured down to Chimney Rock from Asheville back in August and have to say that the trip straight down 64 from Asheville to Chimney Rock was quite a ride! Of course, that whole trip I made to the mountains was full of twisties, so by time I got to Chimney Rock I was "stick a fork in me, Im d-o-n-e" with the twisties for a while!
