I've noticed over the last few weeks that the lot at Flow Mini is getting quite full. They have the biggest selection of new Minis that I can ever remember. I noticed yesterday that not only is the front and side lot full, but there are several 07 Minis located to the right rear of the building.

I really like my Mini, but one of the factors that led me to buy a Mini was the fact that their resale value was so high, and seemed to remain steady. I hope we are not seeing a replay of the way PT Cruisers went from a "high demand" vehicle that would fetch $1000s over sticker price, to a vehicle that now sells new for $6000 or more off of sticker price. Been there, done that, and didn't like it one bit.

It probably stems from people being unsure of the new body style and engine. A lot of people don't like to own the first generation of a car or body style. Too many bugs to be worked out ya know. At least that's all I hope it is.

The sales numbers may have been low lately because cars are just now starting to arrive. Most people had to wait for some option or combination that wasn't available yet.

Flow's lot may be filling up now because most people who ordered have gotten their cars and the dealers are starting to get more of their allotment.

But, I don't really know.

Another item of note is the fact there are only 2 MINI dealerships in the state. So basically half the state might buy Winston-Salem, the other half in Charlotte. A full lot probably isn't as bad as it seems. I haven't seen any R56's in/around Raleigh yet.
