From one of the rally folks:

Laura the Moonshine Rally starts in downtown Elkin, NC on Main Street. Downtown Main Street is only about three blocks long so you can't miss us. Driver / Navigator meeting at 12:00 noon with first car off around 12:30 pm. Running time around 2 to 3 hours ending close to an interstate hwy. Entry fee is $5.00 per car. Last year we 112 cars to run so you may want to get there a little early. jonSAYLOR - Rallymaster

I'll be at MOTD as well but I've done the Elkin rally in the past and its alot of fun. Lots of pretty countryside and cars of every make and color.
I'd recemmend having a navigator with you to pick up the rally clues. I didn't and got lost (sort of) but I wasn't the only one. I ended following several Miata's around but nobody seemed to care since it was such a nice day to be driving around.

Oh, don't worry, I have the best navigator in the world: Gary, my husband!

We unfortunately can't go to MOTD this year (wait 'til next year! she says, shaking fist defiantly at the sky) so this will be a nice "make up for"! :D

Looks like we will not be able to go to the Dragon...:( So the wife and I are going to do the rally in Elkin. Is it a timed rally or what? Who else is going, maybe we can hook up on the way to Elkin. We live off Petree Rd and will probably go up 67 to Elkin, if anyone wants to meet, let us know.:cool:
