I talked to Fontana Village today about reservations. The whole place is already booked for 2008...I have a room - I booked early... but I wanted to book a different place...it seems everything is full already! People are complaining on NAM but what can you do..If you want to go next year you may want to think about a place to stay early...just a thought!

We reserved the same room we had this year cause it was basically the only thing left when we checked out on Sunday. I have a feeling some rooms will start popping up in a month or so when people start realizing they have conflicts.

I reserved the camp site I was in again. I just like camping out when the wife is not coming.

My husband and I are actually thinking of buying a time share. We love to hike and the smokey mountains are a perfect place for that. So, we want to get something we can return to several times a year.

We got a reservation for a one bedroom cabin (POD) for next year but we won't be driving on a dirt road 40 min. to get back to our cabin like we did this year! We can't wait!

I got lucky on Monday AM and got the next-to-last cabin available. So I'm planning to be there with my family again - but this time on property so we can participate in more activities, dinners, after-parties, club drives, the works. I'm already impatient waiting. :)

There really are quite a few people on NAM that are very upset. After the wife and I drove he distance to get to the action we look forward to staying closer to our new friends. YEAH!!!!

We booked for next year on Sat. asked for the same room. Said they couldn't promise it. It's supposedly the only single queen bed in the place and no one else wants it that's why we got it this year. But we can't reserve it for next year. And put us down for a king. I sometimes wonder if they know what they're doing. Nice people tho'.
