Hi everyone I am a new owner of a cooper s 07,
and I am excited that there is a club in my area.

My question is the sport button on my cooper S is awesome i love the way it drives in this mode, can you drive in this mode all the time? Or is there time where you can or cant.

Thanks

Welcome to the club! Glad to have you as part of this group. We've got a growing number of active members in your area, so keep a close eye on the Tranquil Triangle Thursdays thread in NC Area Events.

As for the Sport button, there is no reason why you couldn't drive in "Sport" mode all the time. There isn't any way to keep it on all the time yet though, so for now, you'll have to hit that button every time you start the car.

Personally, I take the DSC off with my 06MCS anytime it's dry out, because there is a good chance I'm going to have some fun, and I don't want my MINI's computer telling me not to!

You've got 2 places you can go for that, either to the dealer, or to Grassroots Garage. Dan Zipkin is the owner, and is a certified MINI tech. He's probably got more experience with MINI's than anyone for hundreds of miles.

Welcome to the club... I can't wait to see your MINI. I haven't seen many R56's around Raleigh yet.

Later,

First off, congrats on your new MINI and welcome to the forum.

If I understand correctly, you want to have a satellite radio installed. I installed a unit in my 06 MCS a couple of months ago. It is a very simple installation; "so simple even a caveman could do it." I'm not sure how the unit hooks up in an 07 model, but I'd do some research before I took it to the dealership and paid their price.

Here is the vendor that I purchased my unit from. It may be worth a call to see if these units also fit an 07 MINI.

The units shown are for XM Radio. But, Sirius recently purchased XM and in a few months (according to XM), the programing for both XM and Sirius will be basically the same.
