since my wife has traded her Justa for an S, i find myself not really digging the stock exhaust tips. while they are nice and shiny, i prefer a non rolled tip over these. so my question is this. where can i find the JCW tips only? are the tips the only difference in the exhaust systems on the regular S and the JCWS? i know i could get an exhaust shop to get something similar, but i prefer an actual Mini part if possible.

The JCW exhaust sounds so much more awesome, the tips are not the only part that changes. You should just get the whole JCW system!

Ego points to the first person who can name why the stock tips are "rolled over" like they are!

My theory is it is a safety issues.. no sharp edges/points..

To look like beer cans, right?
There are a set of tips you can buy... They are the sport tips or something...

They just replace the tips, not the whole exhaust.

Beer cans it is. You'll learn a lot about beer cans next year, Taylor.

Hmm. Maybe I was misinformed. I thought this was the time when you skip the cans and go straight to the keg? :sarcastic:

Yep! The clay model when they were designing it was missing the exhaust, so at the last minute, a designer jammed a beer can in it. They were told not to change the design at all, and so it stood...

ok, didn't know that about the beer cans but i can see it. i wasn't looking to spend a fortune on exhaust, that's why i only wanted the tips. but for the sake of argument, where can you get the whole system and about how much is it???

Try Dan at Grassroots Garage. Give him a call and he'll cut you a deal.

You can't sneak a keg into the dorms... well, you can, but it's much harder.

For somewhere around $2200-2300 Flow will install the complete JCW Tuning kit. I don't see a listing on their website for just the exhaust.

There is a cat back system that comes with the JCW tuning package that is OK., It is a bit loud. Then there is the stock JCW exhaust systen that many people prefer .

the JCW tips out motoring sells look just like the tips we have now. i called Dan at Grassroots and he said he doesn't really know if the tips will work, but he didn't deal much in the JCW stuff anyway. i don't necessarily want a whole new exhaust, in fact all i do want is that style tip. the tips that come on the exhaust with the whole JCW tuning kit. but i can't find them separately anywhere. plus i don't know if they will fit a stock S exhaust system?

Call the dealer, I'm pretty sure you remove two screws.

Go to a local muffler shop, most of them have catalogs of tips you can buy and many of them have a small assortment of aftermarket tips.
