I so thrilled to finally have a mini of my own. We now have two mini's red/black theme. My mini was an unlikely choice, being that I had no intention of purchasing a convertible - that is....until I drove one with the top down. And, then I just had to have one.
I wasnt going to do any mods....but, once you get one you just have to personalize it. I have changed the standard chrome and red grills to the mini "areo" grills upper and middle honeycomb effect in black. I saw that look and thought it accented the mini nicely.
I have put a 2 piece bra on the front made by Colgan. It gives the look of a carbon fiber bonnet without having to purchase one. Plus, I saw how much the front can get eat up with debris and wanted to protect the life on mine as much as possible! Gotta keep it looking good!
Here is the link to my mini pics: Somehow, some pics got duplicated http://www.tarheelminis.org/gallery/showgallery.php?ppuser=358&cat=500
I put an organizer in the glove box because as many people I have too much stuff and needed the extra space.
And, I just ordered my custom license plate H@TWHLZ! which will be on its way in a few weeks.
There is a couple of other things I have on wish list. Of course with this NC summers I definitely need some seat covers - if anyone knows where I can purchase some canvas ones with a design please let me know!
And, also regarding the care of the convertible top does anyone have any recommendations on cleaning/protectant products. I have seen some on outmotoring.com endorsed by Mini but not sure if there are other products that work as well.
And, being that my theme is HOTWHEELS Im trying to find a red convertible hotwheels car -
Im sure I will be doing other mods...being that my husband is always doing something different to his....and it is contagious... We always get ideas whenever we attend an event.
But, I am definitely EXCITED! to have one of my very own. I cant wait to see more minis at the upcoming local events.
They are so much FUN to drive!
