A red MINI Coupe arrived at Flow Raleigh this afternoon. Looks really good, like a real sport car when sitting inside. If you plan to stop by to see on Thursday afternoon after 3:00 pm, it will be displayed at the Sparian at North Hills (http://www.sparians.com/). Otherwise, it will be showed at the Raleigh dealership.

Hey Lee,

It's a sweet looking car and I sat in it and poked around, but didn't ask to drive because I didn't think they were offering. Personally I was a little disappointed because it was a hardtop base model, and from the flyer I was expecting an S Roadster. Details on chassis and engine info were sketchy - I wanted to know how much this "all-new" model shared with the rest of the line and they couldn't say. No brochures yet either, but from what Jim Reynolds and Elena Seavey (Resident Motoring Advisors) disclosed, they expect it to be available in the base hardtop, S and JCW, and also the roadster (convertible.) All models will be two seaters and it has a cavernous trunk! Pricing information is not available yet, but they're already taking deposits and putting people on the waiting list. Don't know if all combinations will be available, but I'm going to have to drive a JCW Roadster before I make up my mind. (I'd like to see one with back seats though so I can legally transport both my kids at once.)

If you want to get a look at it tonight, they're displaying it at North Hills Commons, where they're doing the Thursday beach music concert series (The Embers tonight from 6 to 9.) Apparently there will be a Sparians tent and the Coupe will be there in the tent.

Nice wish I could have made it down there but I'm just now getting the message that they where showing the car..had to work..that's how it goes not to mention the 2 hour drive there from Roanoke VA...I get down there every now and then I'll just have to wait till I can get down there as I'm sure they will have it next time I'm down that way..

I believe I read somewhere that this is indeed just a roadster and there will not be back seats involved with this one,I can't wait to see the S and JCW versions either that will be a sweet ride!

Yeah I think I would of been a bit disappointed too,as I thought it was the S version to.. Bummer
