Here's a couple pics of my new BF Goodrich KDWs. I highly recommend them to anyone who can do without the runflats.

Im getting the same tires put on as I type. Along with new wheels. I love the tread pattern

Nice! They do have the most unique treads I've ever seen. The wet weather performance isn't too shabby either!

Did you get those from TireRack or elsewhere? They DO look sweet - and the specs look very good. What size are you running?

I got them through Riverside Tire in Martinsville. They're 205/45/17s, same as my run flats.

Cool. I'm considering going 215/45/17... since I'm NOT going to lower my car (any more than it gets lowered with 650 lbs of me and my family in it...).

Love the look of the tire tread.. Saw Vango's car at Grassroots yesterday as they finished up putting his new wheels and tires on. Ya'll let us know how they ride, handle, etc..

I got 215/45/17 on mine so far I like them, they do make a little more noise than the run flats did but I dont mind that. Hope to get out and ride some today to get a good feel of them.

They looked great vango. How did you like the way it all sat, once it all settled down?

Im very happy with them it changed the whole look of the car....
By the way as you were leaving grassroots yesterday we all loved the way your car sounded with the megan exhaust. Has a very rich racey sound. Very nice!!!!

Are you planning to pack a can of fix-a-flat and a small compressor-just in case? I have been thinking of going non-runflat when mine wear thin but I feel I'll need something in case of a flat.

I already carry:

1) compressor
2) slime
3) old-fashioned vulcanized plug kit
4) Dynaplug kit

and I have runflats...

Not a bad idea Paul, I think I might get some of that together too- where did you find a compressor-if your happy with yours?

I actually haven't even tried the compressor (doh - outta test it...). I bought the Slime "kit" from the auto parts store - has a bottle of slime, a small compressor, and a couple of other things in it. I added a pair of pliers (for nail/screw pulling), old-fashioned plug kit (with reamer, etc.) and the Dynaplug. All in one nice neat little zippered case. This is in a small duffle that stays in my boot, with my small duster, my portable detailing stuff, my car blanket (union jack of course) and a few other "motoring essentials'. I also always carry a tire gauge in the glovebox.

I bought the ContiKit from TireRack and threw it in the back when I took the run flats off. Hopefully, I'll never need it, and I do have insurance policies already and to me this is just another--now Paul, he has the equivalent of Homeowners, Auto, Liability Umbrella and an ADD policy there! ;-)

The tread design is a work of art! I've heard a lot of people are VERY happy with their KDWs, I'm sure you guys will be too...and stylin' all the while!

I've heard that the contikit works well...I'll probably go with that. But right now I'm running with no slime or anything. At least I've got the Roadside Assistance though!

Vango,
Can you give me an idea about the cost? The customer reviews on this tire are very impressive. The Yokohamas that are on my car now are completely showing the wear bars and are sliding in any corner where power is applied. How is Jenn liking her new ride?
