MINICHI just turned one today. (Thanks to MINI USA for sending a reminder email, and the GM of Hendrick MINI calling to wish her a happy b-day!)
Let's put a post here when our babies have birthdays, with anything you'd like to share...
She has 16016 miles on the odometer, she's been on a lot of club runs, to the outer banks, to four states, three road course tracks, and her only regret is that she hasn't been to the Dragon yet.
She has a Helix CAI, TSW damper, red eyes from Rogue, Wet Okoles, 823 race numbers from Fireball, an H-sport rear sway bar from Way Motorworks, an Autometer boost gauge with Rangeline center vent pod installed in her driver vent by Dan at GrassRoots Garage, Invidia exhaust installed by Dan, a LightnSight, Potenza S03s, an ALTA shorty antenna, a Contikit, Pentrac racing brake fluid, a Valentine One, and few dings and chips.
Like I say, a little zing, a little bling...
Her birthday present is that I'm going to put the double pin angled side stripes from Aesthetic Creations on her. For my birthday, she gets some M7 goodies from Dan at GrassRoots Garage, we haven't decided what yet...

Her birthday present is that I'm going to put the double pin angled side stripes from Aesthetic Creations on her. The pic doesn't do it justice, I've decided to embrace the silver, and the silver stripes look great with the wheels, beltline, etc.
It isn't a great job, (lots of bubbles, not in the same place on both sides of the car, screwed up the outer pinstripe around the gas cap--actually forgot that was there, that's why they're not in the same place), that would drive a lot of you perfectionists nuts, but I've worked hard to stop being so anal, so I'm embracing the minor defects, too. ;-)

Looks great Dave!! Some of the bubbles will come out as it gets hot and cools, stretches, etc... In a week or so, take a pin and pop the others.

Dude - that's BRILLIANT.
I'm thinking about getting my anniversary tattoo'd on the back of my thumb or something...

Yeah, my wife has a framed wedding invitation hanging on a wall in our house. If it weren't for that, I'd be SOL... :)
Regarding car birthdays - I'm curious - Dave, is yours based on production date or delivery date?

Oh, good point Paul! I'm going on purchase date, bought it off the lot. Actually Production date is more accurate, isn't it? I mean this is kind of like my Border Collie where we celebrate the day we adopted her as her B/Day because we really have no idea.
Can I find the build date somewhere, (it's not on the window sticker)?

I know the month/year is on the door jamb VIN sticker (09/06 in my case).
I happen to know that mine was completed on 9/10/06, but only because I was tracking it all the way through production...
