Today because of the love and generosity of minianni I get to drive a NASCAR stock car at Lowe's Motor Speedway. This was my birthday gift. We got rained out the 1st time. I'm really excited. Maybe she thinks this cause me to drive her Mini slower... like that's going to happen.:D
I wonder if they will allow bump drafting the instructor's car.

What speed did you get to a freind of mine got up to 120mph and said that was all he could bring himself to do. He was the 2nd fastest. It takes a little practice to go above 100mph into a turn. Although I have never done the Petty experiance or others at the 30th Mustang anniversary I was escorted off the track for entering turn 3 @ 130mph. The guy beside me was also done the same way. Great times

I'm ready for the big leagues now. It was GREAT!!!! I've forgotten how much I miss being on the track (use to roadrace motorcycles). I started with a ride along. That being extra $ but I felt it would help me get the "feel". 165 mph in the ride along. Big g forces in the turns... I can't even imagine how the NASCAR guys go in at 195.
Got into the car. You follow your lead car by 3-5 car lengths. Stay with him and he'll go faster trying to get to 43sec. laps. Mine was 43.47 top speed 140mph, average 124.21. Wanted to go faster. Cars stick like glue. Amazing considering the "old" technology. Got comfortable quickly. Cars are detuned to 600-650hp:D LOVE all that torque and hp.
Anyway big grins have yet to leave my face. I need to eat a lemon:p A lot of fun and worth the $400 to me. Now I need to find more $ for the advanced (faster) programs.
Thank you minianni, I love you;)
