Cars and Coffee April 7th at Carrabba's 9:30 am coffee and dounuts with a discounted lunch menu.
Hope to see the Minis out in force had over 130 cars last month.

Not to hijack this thread .. but the Eastern NC thread seems to be dormant and some of the "coastal" area seems to include ie Greenville which is not far from Wilson .. so just wanted to mention that after the Brier Creek Cars&Coffee on the 7th we are headed to Wilson for BBQ at Bills if anyone in the general vicinity wants to join us ..

Also, thinking ahead, we've got a couple of other lunch spots planned "east" that maybe we can co-ordinate and find a post Cars&Coffee lunch spot that works for both of our regional sub-clubs .. :meeting:

I see them too. I even get followed by a few and they rarely wave. I was thinking that even though I don't like stickers maybe having on of THMMC in ther rear window for a while might not be so bad. Roomie are you going this saturday? I don't want to be the only MINI. I'm bringing my friend and he might bring his M3. It's got a straight six with a monster turbo in it. "Scary" good fun.

I'm on New River, I just got back from deployment. Since I've been back, I've seen a huge increase in mini's in the area, but most like you said don't tend to wave back or anything else. I'd love to come to the next meet even if it's in Wilmington.

Welcome back. Hope you had a successful deployment. Now let's motor, 3 vehicles or more of the some make always rolling together always seem to draw interest. What does your Mini look like? Mine is a Pure Silver S, only seen one other of that color here. No distinctive marks other than a pulsing third brake light. I wave sometimes but people look at you like you slole their car. I know mine was the second S on Lejeune, but I get no love.
Maybe if we got together other Mini's might not be so shy.

I had the only r56 s around the new river area, I've been here since 2010, I was on lejeune before I deployed and saw a mini with a tarheels front badge that's how I found out about it, I think it was a gray r53.

Do you have any mods to you Mini? I've only done a diverter valvle, swapped to non-run flats (tires were about to go bald), torque arm bushings and BSH engine mount. All good improvements so far.

I'm always looking for a good road. So far the best one I'ave found is Rocky Run Off Piney Green. From 24 take the first right at the light off of Piney Green, that will put you on Rocky Run When you get to then end of Rocky Run Take a left onto OLD 30, that will put you back on Piney Green in a few miles. It's short but there are some nice little cures in there. If you have a GPS turn right on OLD 30 there are some interesting corners before you have to make a decision on what direction you want to go, or you can just turn around.

I got a couple mods. Looking at a new intercooler next I think or a double din head unit like an AVIC or something.

You just missed it about a month ago someon had an intercooler for sale for $300 wanted to purchase but wife fell ill. Go the engine mount instead. Double Din would be nice. I understand you have to get some special parts so the ECU will still work. well.

ive been trying to find some mini guys who want to meet or cruise or anything. the minis on the coast over here seem to keep to themselves. i live in hampstead and am willing to qurdinate a meet twice a month to get the J-ville guys and the wilmington guys together and we can even drive to cars-n-coffee every month together. Ryan-R56 hit me up gerard.dauterive@usmc.mil if anyone s interested in meeting twice monthly we can meet in hampstead on the first sat of every month and on the 3rd sat of every month. ill begin a thread for it.
