Pre MSSD Tour de Asheville (Friday, October 12th)

I will be leading a pre-MSSD event on Friday the 12th of October. This run, known as the "Tour de Asheville", will be held on some great little-known roads North and West of Asheville, NC area (both near Asheville and above it to the Tennessee state line). We will make one drive before lunch and one after, with the intention of making it to the Fontana Dam cookout (near the Fontana Village Resort) by ~4PM? I see this pre-event as more of an option for people in the Western NC area, however all are welcome.

Drivers meeting 8:15 AM

Wheels UP: 8:30 AM

Where: Tractor Supply Company, 14 Monticello Road, Weaverville, NC

Bring: GMRS Radios !!! Channel 20 sub 20

Approx Time: 7.5 hours (including a 1 hour lunch stop)

Lunch: Somewhere in Weaverville, NC (TBD)

Pace: Spirited

We could look into this but since Asheville is only an hour east of Fontana, and we are driving back to Fontana after the Friday runs to attend the cookout, the other Friday drivers in Asheville probably won't want to add 2 hours (there and back) to their runs. Come join us in Asheville.
