I like cab. sav. in a red and pinot grigio or sav. blanc in a white. I have a wine journal at home with brand names and such but I don't really remember many right now. Yellow Tail is usually pretty good for a good price.

I should probably be better at this since my wife and I turned our basement into a bar/winecellar/dining room. :D ;)
