Repair shops?

Hi all.
I am a new member to the forums and introduced myself in another thread.
I live in Florida and I am planning a trip to the mountains. The last time we were up there I had a problem with my starter and got taken at a small garage in Pigeon Forge. This I time I want to be a little better prepared.
If anyone can recommend some good Mini Mechs in the area of Ashville, Bryson City, Gatlinburg or surrounding areas it would be much appreciated.
We will be at the Mt Pisgah Inn tomorrow followed by Gatlinburg on wed then deals gap on thurs. IF any of you are in those areas we will be in a DS/W 03 S with white viper strips. Come on out and play.

Not sure about those areas but there is a great tech named Dan Zipkin here in Thomasville that owns a place called Grassroots Garage if you ever have any problems in Central NC.

Yeah - I don't know that there IS anything closer than:

Greenville, SC
Winston-Salem, NC
Atlanta, GA
Nashville, TN (which is FAR)

Those are have dealerships. But I don't know of any qualified independent MINI mechanics elsewhere other than Dan - who is further away than some of the options.

Yeah from what I can tell the closest will be Greenville. Does anyone have any experience with them?
