My name is John, and although I have been here for 30+ yrs., I have just acquired an '05 Pure Silver Cooper S to become a new resident. This will replace my '95 M3 that I used as a sometimes daily driver and track car. I am a member of the Track Team of the Tarheel Sportscar Club, and look forward to seeing some of you at our track events (www.timetrials.net (http://www.timetrials.net)), starting in Feb. with our flagship event, VIR Full Course. Lots of fun! Check it out.
One question I had was who in the North Raleigh area is competent with service on these cars?

I'd ask BlimeyCabrio. He will certainly know! And congrats on the new MINI!

Welcome John.
I too acquired an '05 Pure Silver a few months ago. Great fun. Hope to see you at some of the Mini Club events.

Welcome! You guys have a lot of positive press for putting on great events.
Dan at Grassroots garage is one of the premiere MINI and BMW automotive specialists in the state, and an active member and supporter of this club--not a paid endorsement. ;-)

Thanks for the kind words. The Event Stewards pour a lot of their souls into this program, and it really shows. We are constantly told by many people who attend lots of different club events that our program is first class. We are fortunate to have such talented people and a big list of well-trained volunteers.
As for the MINI shop, Thomasville is 2 hours away from me. I need a local shop.
