I have a 05 JCW so I was thinking that if i pickup a GP intercooler and get the flash then I will be good to go. It seems like everyone is using a different type of tuning software and before I spend $1000 on software and a tune, I figured i would just do the flash.

A number of months ago a friend NVMYMINI and I bought some RenewProtect products to try out and see what would be the result. After a bit of work I was very pleased with the results and it seemed to really enrich the black trim on the MINI. The only issue I had was it wasn't lasting as long as the original claims. Once I contacted the manufacturer they were very specific about informing me to really clean the surface of all silicones to rid the past products I had been using on WINGS had contaminated the surface and it was leaching back through the product. I learned that by using Denatured Alcohol and some bleach it will clean them up well.
The suggestion was as follows:
Denatured alcohol will work well plastics for removing the silicones. It will help pull silicone up and out... and no worries of it harming surface when followed with Renew Protect. I also use a tire cleaner for such tasks. I mix 50% water with Wesley's Bleach White tire cleaner yet when saturated , silicone can just take a month to work out. Using the proper soap with proper Ph balance is also key, IE Some sort of Car Wash soap not detergent. Once you get a proper treatment of RP on tires just use the car wash soap for regular cleaning.
I followed these suggestions and got the long term results I was looking for finally and really do not miss detailing the black trim every wash now.
RenewProtect was recently at MOTD and had great success showing renewal of the Black Trim using their BLAK product along with the other products. I have found it to be awesome for the floor mats.
For Several reasons:1) My Passenger no longer complains about not being able to get traction on the rubber mats in the twistys. Its NOT Slippery at all!
2) They actually stay "shiny like new" for a good while and are very much easier to keep clean with just a damp cloth.
3) It works great on the tires too and keeps the mud from clinging to them after you wash them off good!
I realized after returning from MOTD XI that they posted video of a before and after demo. I had no idea that WINGS was in the background shining and showing off the RenewProtect product he's been wearing for about 6 months now. For the last 3 months with no touchup except soap and water!

I had not posted this because I was really waiting to get the results I was looking for and now it looks like I am getting them!
Thank you Scott (NVMYMINI) for turning me on to this product!

Has anyone here gone through the process of upgrading there 'S' by adding the twin scroll? I'm on the fence on whether I should add the new blower, (I bought it with the brake rotors, struts and added the JCW suspension so braking and control are not the issue) or just trade her in for a JCW out of the box. I love this car and think upgrading her for 2k is better than getting a new one, but I'm wondering if I'll run into issues not yet foreseen that others might have come across.

Hello...
Newbie here to MINI. I have an 08 R52 that I'd like to modify with: 15% pulley, NS1 Camshaft, Engine Mount, Brisk plugs and perhaps a CAI. I'd do more (CAT back, chip, etc..) but it's got a senior-citizen (auto) transmission and I'm not looking to put it on the track...just wanna add some umph.

Problem is... I'm having difficulty finding someone in the Wilmington area to do the work. National Speed is trying to get me to do more (and spend more) than I want and there doesn't appear to be anyone else in town specializing in MINIs. So... where to go? Any suggestions? Shorter the trek the better, as I use my car daily and will be forced to share a car with my wife during the mod. Sooner the better, but I will be out of the country from June 6-16 so that might be the ideal time to schedule the work. Any and all suggestions / recommendations for reputable work would be appreciated.

Thanks,
