Pets In MINIs Day (event idea)

Hi all.

My wife and I visted a Pug breeder this weekend and picked out a puppy that will be ready to go home in a month. We can't wait to get him, and we are looking forward to taking him on car trips with us. This gave me an idea for a possible future event.

What about a "Pets In MINIs Day?" I was thinking that those club members who have pets that like to ride in the car and go to parks could get together and take a nice drive to a park where we can just hang out with our pets and let them play. (I am thinking that this would probably be mainly dogs since they are the type of pets that people like to take around with them... but any pets would be welcome. I was in a club back up north where a woman took her cat around with her to events)

So... any interest in such an event? I am thinking sometime during the summer. If there is enough interest, maybe this could turn into something that happens a number of times per year.

Thoughts?

My dogs shed far too much to ride in my car with the cloth seats... My wife's car has leather though and the fur just slides off. :D

by the way, picture this!
After reading about pet's day and donating to animal shelters, I had a thought....our mini's with our pets......pull up to an animal shelter.....someone goes to get the director, manager, etc.....he/she comes out in the parking lot and sees ALL our pets.....and then our spokesperson hands him a donation on behalf of our PETS!!!!! WHat a picture that would be......just a thought....I am for this 100%.
our dear sweet "Solomon" came from a shelter just last year! Our previous dog did also.......

The more I think about it I know the wife and I would love to do something like this. We got all our pets through shelters/ surrender/ adoption. I know wmba had mentioned soemthing about doing something like this a while back too. I can sacrifice the cleanliness (HA! the interior's already dirty, what's a little more dog hair) of the Mini for a good cause and some fun.
