    LEO alert and weather report.

Hey gang-I'm here at Fontana as it is the stopping point for a sales trip I took this week-(now that's some good planning!)

On my way in I saw 5 people getting the pleasure of paying an extra tax to the state from the 74 exit to the Sylvia exit (23bus) so be carefull! I also spotted several more LEO's all the way in to Fontana so they are thick and looking to make up budget shortfalls.

BTW the lodge is nearly empty right now-it has a serious "Shinning" vibe

The forecast is looking cold-ish and rainy, especially tomorrow. Hopefully the front will move on through and will not spoil the midnight run. I guess if it's raining too heavy we can just kick off the Brewswap early! See you all tomorrow!

I'm here too. Saw your MINI at the lodge but didn't know how to find you. I'm staying at the Microtel in Robbinsville tonight and moving to Fontana in the AM.

I did four Dragon runs today and did not see a single Leo. Lots of a-holes crossing the center line though. I almost got tagged twice today, once by a bike and another time by an F-150 driving right down the middle as I turned a blind curve. It's getting to the point where I count my blessings every time I complete a run. I'm not sure I even want to drive it anymore. Too many people show little to know respect for the safety of others.

Hey MINIbee- I'm at the lodge tonight-sorry I missed you. I was just in Robbinsville for dinner-wish I had read this before I left.

BTW- Sweetwater BBQ is closed-as in for good! I stopped by and saw an auction notice on the door. I asked the waitress at Ruby's (very tasty, reasonable and HUGE portions) and she said the work on the street is the IRS shut them down.

Noooooooo!!!!!!!! I was just at Sweetwater BBQ a few weeks ago! Grrrrr..... one of my family's favorite places... my son will be CRUSHED that we can't eat there on Saturday...

Hmmm.... what are the odds that Ruby's can handle our group (like 30-40 people) for lunch on Saturday? I gotta find an alternate plan now...grrr.....

If not Ruby's probably the Pizza place... grrrr.....

I think they could handle it Paul-it's a fairly big place and they would love the business. It's on the corner of 28 and Sweetwater Rd. I wish I had got there phone # for you-sorry. I got the impression the Sweetwater shutdown just happened-the place still has everthing inside-it just has auction lot tags on it now. The pizza place does do a buffet everyday so they could easily handle the crown-i would call Ruby's first to make sure they have the staff, etc.

I just ate at Lynn's Place, recommended by the owners of the Microtel. Great food and great service. I had ribs and corn nuggets (awesome). They have a pretty extensive lunch menu which includes grilled pb and j sandwiches (one of my all-time favorites!) They said they would love to have us. They're open from 11-2:30 on Saturday. It's on Main Street, up the hill from 129.

Whew! I thought it was going to be sweaty baloney sandwiches in the parking lot, or beef jerky and Yahoos at the corner gas station!

It's all about the drive anyway, I'll eat anything...

Thanks MDK and MINIBee for the report. I have an idea to swap the brew swap for tomorrow night, so we can do the Midnight Run Saturday night. What are your thoughts?

I would be more likely to drink on Friday night rather than Saturday night because I have to drive 600 miles home on Sunday. But with the midnight run slated for Friday night it was looking like drinking wasn't going to be an option at all for me. So I like the swap idea. (Of course, I'm drinking now to make up for it!). Plus, better chance the weather will be clear for the midnight run on Saturday. We can drink in the rain.

Well it's rainy and windy here today and the forecast is for more of that all day long. The brewswap on Fri might be a good idea as it's looking like a great day to either catch a movie or drink!

MINIFied (Susan) has volunteered her cabin to be used for the Brew Swap, tentatively scheduled to go down tonight, versus tomorrow. Her cabin is #424. Thanks Susan! See you all soon!
