2009 North Carolina International Auto Show

Saw a commercial this morning on this. I wanna know if anyone else has heard of this and if anyone was considering going ? Not really a MINI thing, but more of a petrol head thing.

Here is the website with more details... http://www.ncautoshow.org/index.html

Its Feb 5th thru 8th at the new Raleigh Convention Center.

I've been to the auto show a couple times in the past. If you enjoy getting up close to new cars, it can be interesting. A lot of what is on display will be fully loaded, so you can see some of the cool options that are out there. Kind of like having the dealerships come to you instead of driving all over the place to look at autos. Unfortunately, Raleigh/NC is not (to my knowledge) a top tier show, so it is kind of a luck of the draw as to whether there will be anything noteworthy or unusual there (e.g. where Mini is showing the new crossover at the bigger auto shows, they may not bother bringing it to Raleigh).

If you do go, I'd shoot for a weekday during the day to try to avoid the heavy crowds. It is much nicer to not have to fight them and leaves you more time to linger over any thing you might find interesting.

Haven't been to the Raleigh show but if it's anything like the Greensboro show Jeff hit the nail on the head... If ya have a free afternoon with nothing else to do....maybe.

The Mini is gone but not forgotten, what a ride it has been with the best people, the best Mini club and most fun little car I have ever owned!!!

Thanks for the review... I think I'll skip it this time around... Save the miles, and the gas...

Okay, I'll confess. I was a booth babe for MINI at the one in Charlotte a couple years ago.

No I didn't wear the MINI mini skirt, just the MINI shirt. ;-) I did it with the M2C2 guys and Hendrick's and not only had a fun time looking at the cars and chatting up the "real" booth babes, I got a cool grab bag from Hendrick. So...if you can get Flow to give you a free pass and some cool stuff, do it, otherwise, what ^ said.
