I went -- or more appropriate should say, I attempted to attend -- the Hendrick Halloween Rally the Friday prior only to arrive and be told that the event had been canceled due to lack of response. (I had not RSVP'd since I was technically working til 7pm and wasn't sure I'd be able to get away to attend)

My point being that "we" (collectively) complain that the MINI dealerships don't support the clubs, don't recognize the clubs outside of their immediate area, etc. etc. .. but when they do organize events the attendance is poor so they are not inspired to do so again .. I know this has happened to Flow MINI-Raleigh on occasion, too ..

We can do our best to get the events published to the forum, added to the calendar, but then we need to try and support the efforts with numbers ...

Not being disrespectful of club members and their multiple commitments -- goodness knows I've been a victim of that over the past year and a half that has stymied my plans, but just trying to encourage attendance -- it's got to be a mutual effort -- if we want them to sponsor interesting MINI owner event options, we've got to show the support when they do!
