Feeler: Anyone intrested in Chick School 2011?

TL;DR: My wife wanted to attend this women's driving school, but its not being held this year. If other lades want it, they can still schedule it.

I attended a similar co-ed event last year with THSCC, and found it to be smoking excellent. I found the cost to attend was very low for a performance driving event, about ~$35.

The 2011 THSCC calendar is up, and this event is not scheduled for this year. My wife is going to be bummed waiting until next year. She got her dream car last summer (GTI), is still a little new at driving stick, so she feels intimidated to attending the co-ed school in April.

As a 30+ year autocrosser and former SCCA autocross chairman, I can highly recommend any instructional session you can find. Very many accidents happen because people over react in an emergency situation. Some of those times, these accidents can be avoided, if the driver knows what to expect. Too many driver have never had their vehicle close to it's limits, even though it's safe. Unfortunately, having a place to do it safely is the problem. If nothing else, you'll know what to do when you hear the tires start to squeal. You will know what the anti lock brake function feels like and more.

I'm trying to set something like this up (though probably not just for the ladies) up here for Hampton Roads MINI owners. I do a lot of stuff at Langley Speedway and the infield will work fine for that purpose.

So ladies, don't pass up this opportunity! It WILL make you a better driver. And oh by the way,you'll probably find a bit more fun in your MINI!
